Country Flags - we have members from all over the world and I thought it would be cool to let us all easily display the flag of our countries if we so choose. So added a mod to the board to allow that. To add your countries flag to your profile box, just go to your profile and in "Profile Information" select the appropriate flag.

Spell Checking - if you want to spell-check your messages... you now have that option - there is now a spell check button under every message input box.

Have fun.

I think as many people will pick random flags as will pick relevant flags.

yeah, it was automatically checking posts, whether you wanted it to or not for a while - I've made it optional.

Well... that would be a bummer I guess, and make it kind of pointless. I hope that's not the case.

I noticed quite a few threads with people commentating on where they were from and if any other people were from, oh, say Denmark - or where ever. Just thought it might be nice.

Yeah, I hope that it all works out, just hoping that an inordinately large number of people don't appear to be from Zaire.

Okay yeah we could TOTALLY be our own country. We've done it before, we can do it again.

But if we do, you can keep that Bush guy.

No way, he's all yours. I'd like to see him try to go back to Connecticut.

It's funny how the North won but we have to put up with so many southern presidents.

So I see the all-toopertinent How To Post presentation in the new category. Does this mean we can post Flash material on this board? That would make my day.

What do we look like, Austria?

Of course, the only Pennsylvanian president sucked hard, and the two PA people mentioned to make a run, Tom Ridge and Ed Rendell, are both equally as terrible.

I'd also like to point out that I'm related to Franklin Pierce and W., and am way prouder of the Pierce relation. Go Gadsen Purchase!

Sorry, man. I think we'll keep it simple... nothing to prevent you from posting links to your flash creations though!

I doubt if you'll be flamed. I would certainly hope not... But I did hope for these to signify what country we are physically located in.

This is slightly off-topic, but it IS related to a feature (or rather the seeming non-existence of one).

I run a phpBB board myself, so I happened to notice that you guys seem to have the "gallery avatar" feature turned on, but there is no gallery. Y'all might want to turn that off if there is indeed no gallery (unless there's some level of posts, which I haven't yet reached, required in order to see it)... I was mighty confused for a bit, clicking on that gallery button to just find... blankness.

Thanks, mods!

If you guys wanted to turn the gallery thing on and actually supply a gallery of avatars... I would be happy to put some together.
I enjoy doing those types of things. ;)

it's just that most of use here are in the US, and it seems almost redundant to post the US flag then when you scroll down see EVERY user with the same flag, just thought about adding a little (more) color to the board, without being yelled at for misusing a feature.
